Coaching

Awareness, Mindfulness, Clarity and Guidance

We live in times of great change. Mankind appears to be going through a shift in consciousness which is accompanied by uncertainty and insecurity at every possible level, and this is causing many people to question the meaning and purpose of their lives, and become aware of a need within them that cannot be satisfied by material possessions alone.

Many people are now searching for greater authenticity, depth, purpose and fulfilment in both life and work, and as they embark on their journey of self-awareness and discovery, they often need help and guidance with reading and setting their spiritual compass.

Spirituality however, is not about religion or belief in a doctrine or a ‘God’ - it involves going deeply ‘inside’ yourself and becoming more aware of who you really are at your deepest level, and connecting with your true (inner) self.

What is Spiritual Coaching?

Spiritual Coaching can help us answer some of the deeper questions in life, and enable us to move forwards towards the life we really want. It is a combination of timeless spiritual principles and contemporary coaching skills, which, when combined, offer the capacity for transformation and support in creating purpose and meaning in our lives.

“Spirit” comes from the Latin word spiritus, meaning breath, and it is in all living beings. It has been described as the sentient part of a person, a 'Power Center' or 'Life Force' and is also a source of a person's innate wisdom poised to give direction and meaning to our lives whenever we are able to draw on it. For some, spirit is linked with the Divine.

Saint Teresa called spirit “The life of God within us.”

What does a Spiritual Coach do?

After a careful consultation, a Spiritual Coach gently taps into the power center within the client allowing it to guide their thoughts, decisions and actions and support them to take the action and effect changes from their place of inner power or strength.

Everybody has an inner voice or 'guidance system' that knows the best path for them and can support them on their life journey; a Spiritual Coach helps their client to listen to that voice and interpret what it is saying. The Coach is then able to help develop their ‘inner light’ or energy, and to assist them to gain the confidence to trust their own feelings and intuitive conclusions.

Religious and spiritual beliefs are very personal. It would be unethical for a coach to preach to or try to convert a client to specific religious or spiritual beliefs. Instead, the Coach works with the client’s own beliefs, encouraging them to expand their understanding and apply those tenets as guidelines for their own decision-making and actions.
